Cruzan Wins Two State Titles

jake-cruzanJake Cruzan is a 17 year old Cortez resident that just completed his season walking away with a State Championship in Team Roping and Cutting. Cruzan has worked some long and hard hours getting ready for this pasted season. Cruzan is a member of the CHSRA, NCHA, USTRCA, AQHA, ACTRA.

He lead the Team Roping all season with his partner from Alamosa, CO Taten Koenig. Both boys had what it took to walk away Champions they both have hard work ethics and are great horseman.

Cruzan will get to go to Rock Springs, WY for the High School National Finals and Shawnee, Ok for the International Finals Youth Rodeo to represent Colorado as a State Champion.

Cruzan has future plans to go to college in Scottsdale, AZ when he graduates. He would like to get a degree in Equine Science and be a Performance Horse Trainer.

Cruzan would like to thank all the people that helped him get this far, his sponsors Bob’s Custom Saddles, New West Performance Horses, Durango Dinner, his friend and trainer Brad Barkemeyer and also his family for making such sacrifices to get him down the road with his great horses.
